Meet The Faculty! Come Join Us in Meeting Dr. Christina Ross!
The role of Black faculty is not limited to the classroom. Also important is the way in which they serve as role models. The purpose of this “Meet the Faculty” monthly series is to give students who frequent the AACC an opportunity to engage with faculty who help them visualize their own professional goals. Faculty discuss their academic journey, starting with biographical details as they segue into a discussion of their choice to pursue a Ph.D along with many of the factors that influenced this decision. The series aims to cultivate an authentic and supportive relationship that empowers students and, at the same time, encourages motivated faculty to deliver life-transformative education outside of the classroom during a 50-minute conversation. This week will feature Dr. Christina Ross, an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. This event will take place on Tuesday, March 21st, at 12:30PM in the African American Cultural Center's Community Room (Student Union 407). Lunch is provided at this event.
